Teresa Santamaria, 44, of Harrisonburg, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Santamaria was born Feb. 10, 1964, in Mexico, and was the daughter of the late Cruz Castro and Guadalupe Quintana.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Inglesia Neuva Vida.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Gerardo Santamaria; two sons, Abel Santamaria and Gerardo Santamaria, both of Harrisonburg; five daughters, Liliana “Lilly” Gonzales, Yoreni Santamaria, Ester Santamaria, Teresita Santamaria, and Crystal Santamaria, all of Harrisonburg; four brothers, Cruz Castro and Fernando Castro, both of Jacksonville, Texas, Abel Castro and Salvador Castro, both of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Juana Santamaria, Veronica Luna, and Yolanda Romero, all of Harrisonburg; and three grandchildren.

The Rev. Abel Castro will conduct the funeral 6 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday the funeral home.
