James David Donovan, 38, of Harrisonburg, died unexpectedly Monday, July 28, 2008.

He was a lifelong Rockingham County resident and fixed and repaired bicycles. He took over Cleveland and Lucky’s Legacy helping needy people.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline M. Donovan, whom he married Oct. 20, 1997. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara A. McDaniel of Harrisonburg; a brother, Reese McDaniel of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Linda Moubray of Bridgewater, Leisa Good of Harrisonburg and Meneisa Leija of Reading, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Marie Dodson of Harrisonburg, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sanford Davis Donovan, and stepfather, Cecil Cleveland McDaniel.

A service of remembrance will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with Pastors James Harrison, Margaret Michael and Roger Dove officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonburg First Church of the Nazarene, 1871 Boyers Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
