Helen Frances Good Kisling, 79, of Elkton, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Kisling was born April 25, 1929, in Elkton, and was the daughter of the late Wilmer “Jack” and Addie Breeden Good.
Mrs. Kisling was a lifetime resident of the area and retired from (Genie) Alliance Manufacturing in Shenandoah after 26 years and was a homemaker.
On July 26, 1946, she married Oliver Richard Kisling Sr., who died Dec. 17, 2000. Helen is survived by sons, Harold W. Kisling, Norman Scott Kisling, both of Elkton, and Danny Ray Kisling of Stanley; daughters, Brenda Yancey of Elkton, Joyce Stepp of Shenandoah; sisters, Pansy Shifflett, Ann Fielding, both of Elkton, Nellie Meadows of Bealeton, Deloris Frazier of Gainesville and Betty Campbell of Shenandoah; brothers, Gene Good, W.C. Good, both of Elkton; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by a son, Oliver R. “Ricky” Kisling Jr., and a number of siblings.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with Elder Benjamin Cubbage officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Elkton. Friends may also call at the Kisling home at any time.
