Shawn Christopher Mantz, 2, of Timberville, passed away on Sunday August 29, 2010 at the home of his parents following a long and heroic battle with infant leukemia

          
  Shawn was born on May 4, 2008 in Harrisonburg, and was the son of Christopher and Brandi Daniels Mantz. 

        
    In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his Maternal grandparents, Anita Thompson and husband Dwayne, and Art Daniels and wife Patricia; Maternal grandparents Matt and Donna Mantz; Maternal great-grandparents, Janice and Keith Magers and Lee and Ray Naile; paternal great-grandparents, Elmo and Shelvie Mantz and Sara McClanahan.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother and her husband, Teresa and Danny Whited. 

           
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday September 1, 2010 at 6 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with

Pastor Don Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

8-31-2010 DEAR BABY SHAWN By now you have entered into heaven. I know your family on earth will miss you so much. I will let them know that you are there with my Mommy , Daddy and Grandparents.
