Ersie Mae Roadcap Bennett Moore, 90, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at Sunnyside Presbyterian Nursing Home.
Mrs. Moore was born on Jan. 27, 1920, in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Josie Roadc ap. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ersie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Lee Moore.
Mrs. Moore is survived by two sons, Jerry Bennett of Harrisonburg, and Terry Bennett of Harrisonburg; four grandchildren, Jana B. Landes, Vicky Duvall, Patty Lingafelt and Tammy Ortiz; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving of six children.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, with Dr. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Port Republic Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
