Pauline Frances Spitzer, 88, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at her grandson's home in Midlothian, Va.  She was born March 4, 1922, in Elkton, Va.  Pauline was married to Roy O. Spitzer Sr., who preceded her in death on March 27, 1975.

There will be a graveside service 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg with the Rev. Arnold Repass officiating.

I want to send my condolences to the family of Pauline Spitzer. I've known Pauline for a short time. I delivered hot meals to her on Fridays. She was a kindhearted and thoughtful person. She always prayed for my safety as I delivered the meals. I'm going to miss her on Fridays. May you find peace in your heart and remember she will always be with you in memory.
