Carl Friederich Lee, 44, of Harrisonburg, died on Sunday, July 4, 2010. He was born in Prince Georges County, Md., on Dec. 22, 1965, and was the son of Adelinde Hiller Lee of Broadway and the late Carl Clinton Lee.

Fred was a graduate of Harrisonburg High School and Blue Ridge Community College. 

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, John C. Lee of Broadway and George E. Lee and wife, Natasha, of Raleigh, N.C.; his sister, Linda E. Lee of Florida; and numerous nephews and nieces.

All services will be private.

Arrangements entrusted to Kyger Funeral Home of Harrisonburg.

In this time of sorrow.... My sympathies to the family and friends of Fred. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I knew him from high school and caught up with him a few years ago through mutual friends. There is nothing I can say to make this any easier for anyone though. I just want it to be known that Fred has been my friend since high school. He called me wanting some company on the 4th of July because he was depressed. Yes, he may have died in my home, but I did everything that I could to keep him here. I feel that Fred is now in a better place, he has no pain, no worries and is much happier now. Now he doesnt have to worry about going through anymore operations. I feel like I was the only friend Fred had despite what has happened to him. Shocked and Saddened I'm sorry, Fred. I don't know what happened, but if I could have been there I would have. Of course you know that my butt is sitting in jail for thirty years. I am grateful to have been able to talk to you on the phone once or twice and will always be grateful for the support that you lent my family when my mom passed away almost a year ago.
