She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and was cherished by all her extended family.

On Sept. 7, 1957, she married Henry Jerome Schiefer, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Bob Schiefer of Harrisonburg, and David Schiefer and wife, Suzanne, of Lynchburg; a daughter, AnneMarie Lampersberger and husband, Kirby, of Prince George, Va.; a sister, Bernadette Kratochvil of Chester, N.J.; and six grandchildren, Christopher, Megan, Kailey, Jeb, Case, and Claire.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Thomas Mattingly officiating. Interment will follow on Friday at 10 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.

The Schiefer family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. They will also receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and again following the service in Johnson Hall.

Memories of Mrs Schiefer
Hank, Bob(by), Anne Marie, David- I'm so sorry to hear of Dolores's passing and
ask for God's comfort for you and your extended familes/friends during these
next days and weeks ahead. What a wonderful woman and what an empty void she
leaves. She lived life to its fullest - her infectious smile always caused me
to smile back
My most vivid memories of your wife/mother were her great sense
of humor, the new york accent as she yelled out the back door on Fitch road,
"BAWWWWWWWbeee" and her eccentric clothes - (Oh that was probably when
she was doing the tours in Williamsburg!) May the memories bring great joy to
your heart. Know that she is in good hands.

Dear Hank,

We were sorry to read of Dolores's passing. What wonderful
memories you must have of such a great lady.
We will never forget her
enthusiasm at the women's basketball games at JMU when Missy was playing. It
was always a pleasure to speak with you both. We often recall those days
with
joy. Blessing to you and your family as you adjust to life without
Deolores.
