Nancy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, "Mimi", sister, and friend. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Nancy always enjoyed spending time at Smith Mountain Lake and trips to the beach with her family. She had a big heart, a great sense of humor, unlimited generosity, and was always optimistic saying, "count your blessings." Nancy also loved the Christmas holiday. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and was "Sports Mimi" to many.
On Nov. 27, 1965, she married Milton Simora, who survives.
In addition to Mr. Simora, Nancy is survived by a son, Rob Simora and his wife, Kristin, of Raleigh, N.C.; a daughter, Kimberly Pisk and her husband, Eric, of Harrisonburg; a brother, Greg Marquardt of Pennsylvania; a sister, Helen Bertoli of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Taylor Pisk, Trevor Simora, Jack Pisk, Madelyn Simora, Emily Simora, and Natalie Simora; several nieces and nephews; numerous cousins; and an endless group of friends. May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
