James Anthony Breeden, a resident of Elkton, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg at the age of 52. He was born in Harrisonburg on June 12, 1957, and was a son of James Welfort and Jenalee Davis Breeden.
Mr. Breeden was disabled. However, he found happiness spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Randy C. Breeden and wife, Pamela, of Elkton; his sister, Susan G. Comer of Elkton; an aunt, who was like a mother, Drucilla Orndorff; nephew, Christopher Breeden; niece, Mindi Shifflett and husband, Allen, and great nephew, Zachary Shifflett.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard D. Breeden, and a sister, Joyce E. Breeden.
A funeral service with Pastor Nona Allen officiating will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. Burial will follow at the Koontz Cemetery near Elkton.
There will be no formal visitation; although, friends are welcome to visit at the family home or may stop by the funeral home at anytime.
