Martha Nadell (Leffel) Baugher

Our mother, Martha Nadell (Leffel) Baugher of Elkton, joined dad, John Wilson Baugher, in Heaven on Saturday, May 8, 2010. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Fannie (Henderson) Leffel.

Mother was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her mother, father, five sisters and five brothers.

She was a 1939 graduate of Dayton High School and a faithful member of the Elkton Evangelical United Methodist Church.

She is survived by twin daughters, Betty Baugher-Fridley and husband, John, and Barbara Baugher Horne and husband, Larry, all of Elkton; granddaughter, Tammy Horne Coffman and husband, Jimmy; and a great-grandson, Marshall Lee Coffman, all of Harrisonburg.

A celebration of life and committal service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday May 11, 2010, at the Elk Run Cemetery in Elkton with the Rev. Bob Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers or food, we request that you celebrate mother's new life by serving God, taking a meal to a shut-in and helping the less fortunate.

We thank everyone who touched her life, including her church family, friends, and all caregivers.

Arrangements are being handled by Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.

Online condolences may be made to the family at www.kygers.com.

God's birthday gift to mother was her Heavenly Home.

I want to express my condolences on the passing of Mrs. Baugher. She was quite
a lady and I always enjoyed seeing her at the clinic. I appreciated her concern
about staying as well as possible, and the love and support given to her by her
family. You have quite a legacy! I am a better person and physician for having
known and cared for her.

To Martha's Family:
I commend your mother for rearing two extremely nice
daughters. It has been a pleasure to be of service to you all thru the years
and I want you to know my heart goes out during this season of mourning. You
will all be reunited -"If it were not so he would not have told us
so"

My heart goes out to you in the loss of your mother - I know how you feel and
that you will miss her greatly. In your own time you will all be together again
with our Lord and what a joyous occasion that will be.
