Cynthia Marie Schwartz

Cynthia Marie Schwartz, 55, of Harrisonburg, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Schwartz was born July 6, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, and was a daughter of Jim and Jean Sweigart.

She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky Nursing School and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. She served in the U.S. Navy as a baker, where she met her husband, William, while working together. They married in August of 1975. She also worked as an R.N. for 20 years in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio, and retired in 2002.

Cindy is also survived by sons, William Schwartz and wife, Rebecca, of Blountville, Tenn., and Jeremiah Schwartz of Kingsport, Tenn.; a daughter, Samantha Marie Schwartz of Harrisonburg; six grandchildren, Bailey, Alex, Kathleen Margit, Lemuel, Cynthia Lynn and Luke; brothers, Jimmy, Chuck, and William Earl "Billy" Sweigart; and sisters, Kathy Wiley, Judy McCourt, Debbie Stanley, Myra Sweigart, Tina Daugherty and Theresa Daley.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church.

Our family is so sorry to hear of your loss. Dad, Bert Sweigart, did a much
better job keeping up with everyone than we do for which I'm sorry. You are all
in our thoughts and prayers and hope that soon the good memories help relieve
the loss.

Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers during this time. We are
grateful. We will and do miss Cindy. She was a woman of courageous faith who
lived by that faith. May her prayers for us help us to do the same. Enjoy heaven
