We only met Harriet after moving to Sunnyside almost 2 years ago but have
wonderful memories of a perfect lady. She always had a smile and a nice thing
to say. Our prayers are with her family.

Charlie, Nancy and Family,

Words can't express how sorry I was to hear of
your loss of Harriette. She was so much to everyone in the community. While I
hadn't seen her in several years, I always asked my parents to tell her hello
when they saw her as she had done so much for me growing up through the years.
I had so many fun times at your house through the years and those memories will
always be in my mind. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love,
John G.

Dr. Shank, Nancy and family, I was so sad to hear of Harriette's passing. She
was a beautiful, loving, kind and generous person whose beautiful smile and warm
laugh will live on forever in our hearts. I fondly recall many good times on
Charleston Terrace and her good nature in putting up with lots of teenagers~
We
are praying for you all in this difficult time.

Remembering her kindness to me...
It's been a long time since my son Chad lay in a coma at the UVA Hospital. Hat
was so very kind to me with her many visits, gifts and thoughtfulness. I have
not kept up, but have remembered her these many years. She certainly went over
and beyond and I appreciated it.

An angel to everyone she met
Dr. Shank, Nancy, Mary and family,
My heart is with you all. I am deeply
saddened by the loss of Hat. She was like a second mom to me and I am certain to
many many others as well. I am very blessed to have been able to be a part of
her life and share so many wonderful times with your family. She was truly an
angel and I will miss her warm smile, caring kindness and genuine love. Hat's
love is a power that is much stronger than death ...and it will always be with
us. God bless all of you in this difficult time.

Dear Charley, Susan, Mary, Chip & Nancy,

I wish I could be there to give each
of you a heartfelt hug. I have fond memories of Harriette in the kitchen doing
50 things at one time, while still carrying on a lively conversation. She was
simply the best!

Dear Dr. Shank & Family:
We were truly saddened to read of Mrs. Shank's
passing. We know a lady of her faith and demeanor will be in Heaven with the
rest of the Saints. She was the most loving and kind lady we have ever met.
May God bless all of you by knowing she still lives.

Dear Mary and family,
It's been many years since I spent time at your house, but
I have fond memories of your mom and dad and their graciousness towards your
young friends. I was just reminiscing about the front-yard trampoline and many
sleep-overs recently. Out here in Seattle, the Wood girls are both thinking of
you -
