Helen Laurie Blose Clark, 93, of Harrisonburg, passed away March 21, 2010, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Apollo, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby Thompson Blose.
Mrs. Clark lived in Applewold in Kittanning, Pa., before moving to Harrisonburg in 1999. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kittanning and had been active in the Applewold Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary and had served on the election board a number of years. She was a great lover of animals, especially cats.
On June 2, 1937, she married Joseph Wesley Clark, who preceded her in death on April 15, 1999.
She is survived by a son, Michael Alan Clark, and wife, Loretta, of Harrisonburg; a number of nieces and nephews, cousins and a sister-in-law. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Blose.
The Rev. Gerald Meeks will conduct a graveside service 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington, Pa.
Friends may call at the home of her son, Michael, at any time. The casket will remain closed.
