Gary Paul May, 53, of Shenandoah, passed away March 20, 2010, at his home.
Mr. May was born June 1, 1956, in Harrisonburg, and was a son of Paul Robert May and wife, Janice, of Shenandoah and the late Marie Shifflett May.
He attended the East Point United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASAR. He was an electrician and worked for several contractors prior to his illness.
On July 4, 1976, he married Rose (Kite) May, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jeremy May and wife, Jennifer, of Luray; two brothers, Roger May, of Shenandoah, and Jason May and wife, Amanda, of Stanley; two sisters, Diana Pence and husband, Ray Lee, of Shenandoah, Kellie Dearing and husband, Mickey, of Elkton; and four grandchildren, Mikayla Riggleman, Michael Ritchie, Patrick Sly and Nicholas May.
The Rev. Carrie Talbot and The Rev. Mike Reynolds will conduct the funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. Burial will follow at the East Point Cemetery near Elkton.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. The casket will remain closed.
