Mary Emma Knight, 65, of Elkton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at Avante in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Knight was born Oct. 10, 1944, in Page County and was the daughter of the late James R. and Marie Weaver Seekford. She was a member of the Skyline Eagles No. 4393 and enjoyed sewing and swimming. Mary was a member of the Upper Room Church near Elkton and worked more than 20 years for Rockingham County Schools before retiring.

Mary is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Meadows of Elkton and Larry W. Corder of California; daughter, Mildred H. Dudley of Adrian, Ga.; and 18 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. The Rev. Barbara Hensley will conduct the service. Burial will follow at St. Luke\'s Lutheran Cemetery in Page County.

The family will receive friends this evening (Tuesday) 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.

A GREAT LADY i'm so sorry for your loss and Mary was one of the sweetest people i've ever met she was so much like a mom to me i even called her mom and she would always address me as her daughter.
