Elsie Mae Ramey, 82, of Elkton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at the Avante Nursing Home in Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Ramey was born June 19, 1927, in Winchester and was the daughter of the late Martin Turner Golliday and Ressie Lou Pence.
She was a member of Bear Lithia Baptist Church.
She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting and gardening.
On Sept. 11, 1950, she married John William Ramey; he preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1996.
Survivors include two sons, John Calvin Ramey and James William Ramey, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 6 p.m. Monday Evening, Nov. 30, 2009, at the Bear Lithia Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Leatherman officiating.
