Ile Alana Troutman Lambert, 64, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Lambert was born on March 26, 1945, in Allegany County, Md., and was a daughter of the late William and Agile Day Troutman.
Ile worked for Tyson Foods for 25 years, holding multiple positions. Mrs. Lambert was a member of the Ray of Hope Pentecostal Church in Harrisonburg, where she sang in the choir. She loved to cook and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
On Aug. 10, 1963, she married James Lambert, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lambert is survived by three sons, Jimmy Lambert and wife, Patty, of Stanley, Billy Lambert of Timberville and Jerry Lambert of Grottoes; a daughter, Lisa Goditt and husband, John, of Harrisonburg; two brothers, William Troutman Jr. of Broadway and Freddy Troutman of Mount Clinton; one sister, Bonnie Miller of Harrisonburg; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Ray of Hope Pentecostal Church in Harrisonburg with the Rev. Jimmy Kite officiating. Burial will follow at the Singers Glen Cemetery in Singers Glen.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Ray of Hope Pentecostal Church, 1450 Reservoir St., Harrisonburg.
