James Allen Elliott

James Allen Elliott, 46, of Harrisonburg, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009.

Jim was born in Winchester on Aug. 17, 1963, and was the son of the late Irvin and Virginia Anderson Elliott.

He was a Mason and worked various construction jobs. He attended Mountain Valley United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg.

On May 16, 1998, he married Betty Jean Elliott, who survives.

He is also survived by a son, James Allen Elliott of Martinsburg, W.Va.; stepson, Justin Shipway; daughters, Kaylee Shipway, Tiffany Elliott, and Jazmine Elliott; a grandson, Dante Shipway; and a sister, Judy Tristan.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Rest Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Bonnet officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset unexpected funeral expenses.

To you all I send my sympathies at this time of loss and sorrow. I pray that

my friend and the father to my daughter.
this was mot god doings it was the work of evil so the devil played a part
,although i know jimmy went to meet god for he told me the last time he got
close he was unresponsive t rmh in julyhe told me he never sw that beutiful plce
people see when they die i told him then u see why god sent you back to get
yourself right with him, jim went to church with his oldest child kaylee so i
know he got it right.. R>I>P> my friend we will meet again when its time . until
then i will miss you .big head. forever greatful for 1 special daughter ,and all
his care for my boys .. , i will look out for all your babies except the one
that took you from us. no there is no "joy" in this and there you go the
evil one who killed him .. your be judged one day by god not for me to judge but
i will tell the truth i owe it to a special man. love ya always shelly ~ don't
cry for him when he's gone just know that he was blessed and he faced his fe...

Dad,
I know times seem hard,but over time things like these will only make me
stronger which they have!Things like this are tragic and painful ,but sometimes
we have to take the bad with the good and say the heck with it!Nothing can take
the place of you as my father and me as your daughter.
