What a beautiful, happy person Miss Helen was. I cherish the memories of the
time we spent together at the river. Even though I haven't seen her in a while,
I will miss her. I am happy for her though, because I know she was eager to
reunite with Alton. My condolences to the whole family and especially to my
dear friend Swanson.

Although born in Ohio, Helen was the personification of a True Southern Lady. A
loyal and devoted lady, she treated everyone as family. To my knowledge, she
never knew a stranger.

Mrs. Williams was my next door neighbor for many years in Farmville. She and
her entire family were very special and important to my parents and myself. She
& Alton were like a second set of parents for me. I remember playing with the
grandchildren every summer and having a grand time. Her loss is like loosing a
family member for me. I hope now she can reunite with those gone before her; to
include Alton and my parents. May she rest in peace! God Bless you Mrs.
Williams; you will always hold a special place in my heart!

I just found out yesterday, January 11th the passing of Mrs. Williams. I was
hired by Farm Credit as Mrs. Williams replacement when she was getting ready to
retire. We became such good friends and stayed in touch for a while after her
retirement. She was such a lovely lady and I know she is at peace now. She and
Alton were such a lovely couple.

I seldom get back to Virginia and just learned of your loss. I shall always
remember the wonderful memories of those early days when we were growing up and
the many kindnesses of Helen to our family.
