Gene T. Stargel, 75
Gene T. Stargel, 75, of Elkton passed away on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009. He was born in Gainesville, Ga.
Gene was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Safeway Stores after 43 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Jayne Marie Stargel, four sons and their families, two sisters and his first wife, Betty Wood. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at the Elkton United Methodist Church followed by a service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Reynolds officiating. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elkton Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 152 Elkton, VA 22827.
Arrangements are being handled by Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
