Allen Lee Dean

Allen Lee Dean, 41, of Elkton, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009.

Allen was born Aug. 6, 1968, in Rockingham County, and was the son of the late Dempsey Odell and Beulah Meadows Dean.

Mr. Dean worked for Tenneco Corp. for the past year as a setup operator. He was also employed by the Daily News-Record for the past 10 years as a bulk carrier.

Mr. Dean is survived by his fiancée, Deneene Rice of Elkton; two daughters, Kristen Dean of Elkton and Amber Rice of Harrisonburg; a brother, Gary Dean and special friend, Mary, of Elkton; two sisters, Debbie Robinson and husband, Mike, of Shenandoah, and Barbara Simmons and husband, Danny, of Harrisonburg; a granddaughter on the way, Kaylen Frances-Lee Dean; a nephew, Joseph M. Dean II of Shenandoah; and one great-nephew, Bryant Dean.

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in Shenandoah with the Rev. Wayne Comer officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Friends may also visit at the home of his brother, Gary Dean, at any time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Allen from JMU and he was a very good guy.

Barbara so sorry to here of your brotherś passing. My thought are with you and
all the family. May God be with all of you in this time of sorrow. I worked
many nights with Allen at James Madison University.

your help comes
in a time of such pain and sorrows and many questions that will only go
unanswered.i know your all in search for a source to help in a terrible time
like this. but the only place i know to point you is to a all knowing and loving
God of mercy and grace.and some of the most comforting words he gives is in
psalms 121 versus 1,2 i will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from which cometh
my help. my help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth.
