Frances Alice Hulse, 92, of Harrisonburg, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Sunnyside Presbyterian Home.
Mrs. Hulse was born Oct. 4, 1916, in High Bridge, N.J., and was the daughter of the late John and Hazel Hummer Hardy.
She was the widow of Ralph Harvey Hulse Jr., who preceded her in death Aug. 31, 2004.
Mrs. Hulse, along with her husband, lived in New York, Trenton, N.J., and Maine, and traveled extensively, including much of the East Coast. They moved to Sunnyside in 1988, where she was deeply involved in the Chapel Program at Sunnyside and was a friend of the Transportation Department at Sunnyside.
She was the last surviving member of her family.
A memorial service will be held in Meredith Chapel at Sunnyside 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, with Dr. Paul O’Gorek officiating.
Her body will be cremated at the Kyger Funeral Home Crematory and burial will be in the Augusta Stone Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Fort Defiance.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
