Tommie C. Meadows

Tommie Clinton Meadows, 80, of Elkton, passed away July 20, 2009, at his home on Naked Creek.

Mr. Meadows was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Page County, and was the son of the late James Sherman and Lucy Ellen Breeden Meadows.

He most recently had worked at Food Lion. He attended the Furnace United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening and fishing with his grandkids.

Mr. Meadows is survived by daughters, Amanda Meadows Williams and husband, Bradley, and Crystal Meadows, all of Elkton, Shelia Good of Stanley; brothers, Johnny Meadows and Manuel Meadows, both of Elkton; sisters, Pearl Boyd of Mount Crawford, Vida Armentrout of Keezletown, and Sylvia Meadows of Elkton; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by a son, Tommie “Monroe” Meadows; infant daughter, Alberta Diane Meadows; siblings, James Mitchell Meadows, Steve Meadows, Walter Meadows, Willie Meadows, Preston Meadows, Minnie Lam and Nora Meadows.

The Rev. Fuzzy Cardin will conduct a memorial service 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2009, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. The family will receive friends Wednesday (tonight) from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I always enjoyed going through the
line at Food Lion where Mr. Meadows was. I enjoyed cutting up with him.

Tom told me he was ready.Just think he's with Daddy and the other family members
that are in Heaven now.Praise God we have a better place to go to.To all the
other family members God is watching us.We need to live life to the fullest and
each day as our last.
