Pauline Violet Cash, 85, passed away Saturday Aug. 22, 2009, at the Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Cash was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Mercer County, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Carl and Lucy Fitzgerald Hatter.
On March 14, 1946, she married Donald Stuart Cash Sr., who preceded her in death in 1988. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Hatter, Robert Hatter and William Hatter, and one grandson, Shane Gregg.
She is survived by two sons, Donald Cash Jr. of Newark, Del., and Wayne Cash of Mount Solon; two daughters, Carolyn Derrer and husband Leonard of Mount Crawford and Cathy Andress and husband George of Newark, Del.; two brothers, Harry Hatter and wife Kay of Roanoke, Thomas Hatter and wife Peggy of Manassas; one sister, Ellen McClintock of Staunton; special sister-in-law, Llana Hatter of Manassas; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday Aug. 26, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jim Kite officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
