Richard Henry Beall, 82, of Grottoes, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Mr. Beall was born Aug. 3, 1926, in Baltimore, Md. He served in the U.S. Navy and upon his honorable discharge worked for General Motors on Broening Highway as an electrician and general handyman.

On Aug. 8, 1959, Mr. Beall married Hazel Virginia Spurry and was predeceased by his loving wife Hazel in September 2008. He is survived by nephew Theodore M. Provenza of White Marsh, Md., and great-nephew Theodore J. Provenza of Finksburg, Md.

Eugene Souder will share in a graveside service to be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2009, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Baltimore, Md. Services entrusted to The Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kygers.com.

I am a hospice volunteer and have been talking with Mr. Beall since Hazel passed away last fall. He was a very loving man and deeply devoted to his wife. I feel sure he and Hazel are resting comfortably together now. May your family find peace in their togetherness. Julena 2009-05-21 17:52:41

I had the pleasure of taking care of Mrs. Hazel prior to her passing away. Mr. Beall was very loving and caring and often stated that he did not want to live without her. Although I am sad to hear of his passing, I know he is happy to be with her again. Laura 2009-05-29 00:06:06
