I REMEMBER REV PENDELTON AS VERY CARING PERSON. HE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR THE YOUNG PEOPLE WHEN WE WERE GROWING UP. HE WILL BE DEARLY MISSED BY ALL WHO CAME IN CONTACT WITH HIM. JULIANA, MY DEEPEST SYMPATHLY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

My deepest sympathy to the family for your loss of such a vibrant and caring man. Rev. Pendleton officiated at my marriage and my two children's baptism at St. George's in Pine Grove, Stanley, Virginia. I sat many Sundays when Bill gave his five minute sermons which knocked me off my seat. Few but very choice words from a man I will always carry in my heart. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to know Bill Pendleton.

Your dad was such a good friend to our dad when they worked next door to each other in Woodstock. I remember well how they admired each other's gardens (and I will always remember them chasing a goat up the street!). The quilt your mom made for a wedding gift is treasured and reminds us of your family. We are thinking about you, Juliana, Helen and Alice, as you grieve and miss him. I am honored to have known this good man and was especially touched when he and your mom traveled to our wedding (27 years ago!)

Thinking of you folks this morning. What a good man and a good life! I have fond memories of our times in Woodstock and the ways our families' lives intersected. Would love to catch up some time. Blessings, Steve

Mr. Pendleton was always a pleasure to be around every day. I got the chance to become aquainted with him when I worked in the Highlands at Sunnyside. He was always happy and always had a positive attitude. I am so glad to have met someone like him. He will be missed...
