Steve Wade Craun

Steve Wade Craun, 55, of Harrisonburg, died Friday, May 8, 2009, at the Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Steve was born Nov. 26, 1953, in Washington, D.C., and was the son of the late Joan Craun and Wade H. Craun, who survives.

He worked in the construction business most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he also enjoyed drag racing. 

Along with his father, he is survived by his two sisters, Kay Richardson of Dayton and Jennifer Whitenight of Harrisburg, Pa.; two nephews, Aaron Richardson and wife, April, of Woodbridge, Va., and Max Whitenight of Harrisburg, Pa.; two nieces, Melissa Richardson of Edinburg and Natalie Whitenight of Harrisburg, Pa.; and two great-nephews, Isaac and Zachary Richardson of Woodbridge, Va. Steve is also survived by special friends, Bud Morris and his mother, Ruth Morris, and two friends, whom he lived with, Chris and Amber. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Harrisonburg.

To the family of Mr. Steve Craun, I have known Steve for 10+ years. He was a
great friend. He will be missed by many, many friends. My condolences to the

I was so sorry to hear of Steves passing. My sympathy goes out to his family. I
hadnt seen Steve as much in the past few years but whenever I did see him he was
always smiling and always made it a point to say hello. I know he will be missed
by all that knew him.
