Lola Kite Lang, 87, of Harrisonburg, and formerly of Elkton, passed away April 16, 2009, at Oak Lea Nursing Home.
Mrs. Lang was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Rockingham County, and was the daughter of the late Pearl James and Lessie Royer Kite.
Mrs. Lang was a bookkeeper for Joseph Neys, Harrisonburg Wheel & Parts, and Service Parts Inc. before retiring. She was an avid reader and enjoyed family gatherings. She had attended St. Stephen & the Good Shepherd Church at Rocky Bar.
Her husband, Louis Elwood Lang, preceded her in death. Mrs. Lang is survived by sons, Greg and Paula Lang, of King William, Michael and Anne Lang of Keezletown; a daughter, Marti and Ron Williams of Keezletown; a brother, Wayne and Judy Kite of Waynesboro; sisters, Rosalie and John Leake of Harrisonburg, Glennis and Lawrence Bear of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Melanie Lang, Somer and Christopher George, Adam and Crissy Williams; great-grandchildren, Brandon Lang, Tyler Fitzwater, Isaiah George, and Eden Grace George.
The Rev. Stuart Wood will conduct a graveside service 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.
