The foodservice industry is a very close group of people. Ted, as a customer
representative, was one of the best I had ever dealt with. Not because of the
products he represented, but because of the way he cared about the people he
dealt with. He was funny, caring, sincere, and you always felt he was going to
go out of his way to make sure he delivered on his promises. Ted and I were
friends far after we stopped dealing with each other on business. We kept in
touch even though our lives went in separate ways. When you spoke to him he
never talked about how he was doing, always about mutual acquaitences and where
they were now and how they were doing. That was the kind of guy that Ted was.
The industry, the world, and most importantly, his family. has lost a great soul
in Ted Croy. God Bless his Mom and Dad for raising him to be the man he was. My
wife and I are truly sorry for your loss.

Ted had one of the most infectious smiles in the world. I had the pleasure of
working with him during Icelandic and Carolina Turkey days. We miss his
happiness, his cheer, his easy going manner – and the stories. The boy had
some whoppers to tell. Each funnier than the last.

When he was off on
sales trips and away from the family, he was with folks like me. On behalf of
his customers; thank you for sharing Ted with us. He is one of the good guys in
the business and will be missed.

God Bless --

I know that times like this are hard, but if we look to our Lord Jesus for
comfort we can over come anything,Jesus says that He will wipe away our tears
and heal our hearts ,that He will never leave us or forsake us,its just that
sometimes we forget that we have to ask Him.Just remember that this is a time to
check ourselfs to see where we stand with God.last year I lost my twin brother
George Sprinkel ,he was Teds uncle, it seems to be to many losses in such a
short time, only I look at them as miracles to be with Jesus.I love you Ted,and I
will see you some day.On that day we will be together again love Aunt glenna

Dear Maddy, Lindsay, Taylor and Family,

I don’t really know where to
begin other than the beginning. When you meet Ted the first thing to notice is
what can only be described as a “Cheshire Cat” grin. His smile, his voice,
that slight Virginia drawl, his wit and his class were always there for his
friends.

His success in the chain business was simply amazing and I don’t
know if I have ever come across anyone as adept at it than Ted in my 36 years in
the food business.

We eventually developed many friends in common from
business and we are all saddened by the loss, but I see so many familiar names
here thanks to Ted. He saved my business and my house back in 1995 when I ran in
to some serious issues with some 15 rail cars of poultry. He gave me a phone
number and my problem was solved. I was scared then and I shouldn't have been
with friends like him. All you need is one and he was the one. God has blesse...

I think it speaks volumes that A Broadway boy could call a TA boy his friend.
Teddy was a good friend and a excellent athlete.
Always positive and upbeat he

What a Great Guy! Always a smile and always asking what he could do for me and
our company. As a broker salesperson back in the Carolina days, he was always
helping us out no matter what the reason. A big smile even when things went
south was Ted...I feel honored to have had a chance to laugh with him. He was
truly a special person to me.
If all persons throughout the world were made up
of what Ted was it would be a much better place....

Dear Mady, Lindsay, Taylor and the rest of the Croy Family:

We offer our
heartfelt condolences to each of you and deeply regret that we were unable to
attend the memorial service for Ted. Grieving is a natural process for us when
losing a beloved family member from this life to the next, but some comfort
comes by being left with all the fond and loving memories and hearing so many
friends reassure you what a wonderful man he was. We recognize what a
wonderful family he has, and we trust you will be blessed and comforted by our
Lord at this trying time.

On behalf of each of these Harpers, we love you
and are here should you need us for anything.

Like many who have written I met Ted through the food business when I joined the
Carolina Turkey team. When I went to work for him in national accounts we became
life-long friends and we kept in contact regularly. I can't say anything not
said already but think of his smile, the jokes, and the funny things he said and
did that made me laugh until I cried. His heart was golden and he cared about
everyone he knew.
I will miss him very much and know that God will bless him.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family as he spoke of you all often.

I first met Ted in 1991 while at Arctic Alaska Fisheries Corporation. We tried
to hire Ted as our National Accounts Sales Manager; however, the timing was not
right for Ted. As fate would have it, our lives would cross again a year later
after Arctic Alaska Fisheries was purchased by Tyson Foods and Ted had been
hired by Tyson in the poultry side of the business. This time Ted did get on
board in Tyson\'s Seafood business as our National Accounts Sales Manager.
Ted spent several years with us and was a significant contributor to the success
in growing the business. Ted\'s knowledge, attitude, and caring personality
opened doors where ever he went as he was well respected in the Food Industry.
I had the good fortune of traveling with Ted on several occassions for business.
He not only made several of us laugh, but always had a wide smile (grin!) on
his face. Even though I did not have the opportunity to meet all o...

Dear Mady, Lindsay and Taylor,
My heart and thoughts are with you guys during
this tough time. I am truely sorry for your loss. It is sad and it hurts. I
really appreciate the call Mady. I am glad you all planned a celebration of
Ted's life, he would have wanted it that way. I have nothing but fond memories
of Ted and you. "Back in the day", baseball, HFP even my start here in
Fredericksburg followed the touch to Ted. You talk about filling some shoes.
Ted could sell poop to a honey dipper. His smile, wit, and charisma were
unmatchable. We all wished some of the challenges Ted faced would have come out
differently. I know he was proud of you guys and cared for you dearly. I'm
sure there was a spirited group who came to honor him. I wish I could have
come. His spirit lives on in those who knew him and cared for him. I'm one
who's got him. Best of luck. Surround yourself with people you care about andChappie Slye 2009-04-20 09:33:10
