Montie Ray Dolin, 84, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. Mr. Dolin was born on May 25, 1924, in Greenbrier County, W.Va., and was the son the late Clarence Williams and Lula Dolin.
Montie was a truck driver for many years and was employed by Dayton Transport and Mountain State Poultry. He also was a heavy equipment mechanic with Lane Construction in West Virginia and Mundy Quarries in the Valley. He was a member of the American Legion Post 27 in Dayton and the International Union of Operating Engineers.
On June 28, 1948, he married Aileen Virginia Dolin, who preceded him in death on May 6, 2007. He is survived by two sons, Michael R. Dolin and wife, Brenda of Crimora and Keith A. Simmers of Broadway; two daughters, Carol A. Williams and Sandra
