Nicole Danielle Nicholson 17, of Mt. Crawford, died February 16, 2009 in Bridgewater.

Miss Nicholson was born April 1, 1991 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of Tony L. Nicholson of Harrisonburg and Rebecca Via of Richmond. She was a Junior at Turner Ashby High School, and had been active in the F.C.C.L.A. (Future Career & Community Leaders of America). She had attended Bible School at Bridgewater Baptist Church and other area churches with friends.  She was employed at Taco Bell in Harrisonburg and had been a volunteer at Sunnyside Presbyterian Retirement Community.

Besides her parents, Miss Nicholson is survived by a brother, Dustin Nicholson; paternal grandparents, Everette & Barbara Nicholson, Mt. Crawford, maternal grandparents, Harold & Doris Via, Grottoes; a paternal great-grandmother, Eva K. Nicholson, Harrisonburg; a number of Aunts & Uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg. The Rev. Kelly Lane will conduct the service. Burial will private at the East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

i would like to extend our deepest sympathy and our heart does out to all of you, I did not know nichole, but my niece was a friend of hers and it saddned me when i heard the news espically when i dropped my daughter off that terrible night of the morning of hte fire . You see they was only a houses up fro the scene and did not even know it was going on. They was so upset by it all, i hope you all can just take it 1 day at a time and know there was a good reason for god to take nichole to heaven . She was a very important angel to him.
