Hazel J. Rosazza, 94, of Shenandoah, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Rosazza was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Bedford, Va., and was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mattie Donald Jennings. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Marie Law.
Surviving family members include a son, Thomas "Ikey" Rosazza, and wife, Laura, of Shenandoah; four grandchildren, Lisa Rosazza of Shenandoah, Tracey R. Shuler of Shenandoah, Stacy Anderson of Stephenson, Va., and Jennifer H. Pingley of Stephenson, Va.; great-grandchildren, Zachary R. Clark, Abigail L. Clark, Jenna E. Shuler, Corey A. Shuler, Brandy Law, Samantha Anderson, Jeb and Ben Pingley; a nephew, Stephen Fisher, and a niece, Alice Rosazza.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at 11 o'clock at Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Elkton located just off of U.S. 340, midway between Shenandoah and Elkton at 2580 Panorama Drive. The Rev. Robert Buchanan and the Rev. James B. Martin Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 Monday evening, Feb. 16, 2009, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Evangelical Presbyterian Church Building Fund or Shenandoah Rescue Squad.
