Don-Rice Richards, 82, of Penn Laird, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Richards was born in Iowa and was the son of the late Rice and Alta Mary Foster Richards.
Mr. Richards was a veteran of World War II for the U.S. Army and was an accounting professor at James Madison University. He married Colleen Adair Richards on Sept. 9, 1950, who preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2005.
Mr. Richards is survived by a close friend, Stephanie Stratton.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
