I was just a teen when I met Janie, Ruth Ann, and Cathy at the McGaheysville
Methodist Church. Paul was my Sunday school teacher and Nancy later played at
my wedding. Much love and sympathy is extended to all of you.

Karen, Angie and Families,
I am so sorry for your loss. Karen, I remember as a
teen how close you and your mother were and how close Angie was to her also. I
envied that. You all were like the 3 Musketeers. She is in God's loving hands
now and I pray that you can take comfort in that. You will be in my prayers.

To Jane's Family,
I knew Jane for such a short time, starting when I joined the
ACTs Sunday School Class this pass summer at McGaheysville United Methodist
Church. Jane was so open sharing her concerns regarding her health and the
effects it had on her family. In spite of her pain, she smiled easily, shared
her strength and love for God with us. She took such interest in me personally
and my desire to help nursing students understand some of the specific needs of
patients in her condition. Her influence has already had an effect on my
teaching. I am so grateful for knowing her and being a small part of her life.
I will miss her too. I can't even imagine the loss you must all feel. Just know
that she was loved!

I was unable to be at the services today. I only wish I could. A prior
engagement kept me. I have so many fond memories of my time with Jane and her
family. She encompassed life the way everyone should, with fun, wonder and awe.
She certainly made me laugh, even when times were tough. I love her for that.
I am not sure she had a bad thought about anybody. At least I never heard. She
was always after more in life. She had mind and the go-getter attitude! Karen,
Rebecca, Ruth Ann, Cathy, and Nancy, remember the great memories and I hope that
you will find peace in the days ahead. She has found peace with the Lord.
Thinking of all every day.

Janey was always so much fun! She had the most wonderful smile, and delighted in
life. I met on the street in Harrisonburg one day last year (we graduated from
Montevideo High School together) and in spite of her illness she was all fun and
laughter. She will be missed by many. I am ill with the flu, and not able to
attend the services. Blessings to all her family.
