Frances Harlow Davis, 93, of Elkton, passed away Dec. 11, 2008, at Bridgewater Home.
Mrs. Davis was born Jan. 1, 1915, in McGaheysville, and was the daughter of the late John S. and Lena Breeden Harlow.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Sleepwear in Elkton for a number of years. Mrs. Davis was a hard worker and a kind woman who had a great love for her family.
On Dec. 24, 1930, she married Conrad Luther Davis, who preceded her in death on May 15, 1980. Mrs. Davis is survived by a son, Ray J. Davis of Elkton; a daughter, Patricia D. Clewis of Fishersville; a sister, Ruby H. Wagner of McGaheysville; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a number of stepgreat-grandchildren; and one son-in-law, Kenneth H. Flick. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy D. Flick of Elkton; a son-in-law, Henry Clewis of Fishersville; two brothers, John Sidney Harlow and John Samuel Harlow Jr. and two sisters, Nellie Smith and Ruth Brown.
Pastor Jim Kite will conduct the funeral service 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the home of her granddaughter, Kathy Grubbs, 1846 Bethel Church Road, Elkton, Va.
