Michael Earl Dean, 34, of Elkton, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Michael Cayden Dean and Morgan Cales Dean of Elkton; his loving and devoted parents, Charles and Odessa Dean of Elkton; his brother, Chuck Dean of Richmond; and two sisters, Dana Lackovitch and Stephanie Morris, both of Elkton; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles will mourn his loss during this very difficult time. Special friends with whom he lived, Red and Pebbles Smith of Harrisonburg.

Michael was a graduate of Spotswood High School class of 1993. He played junior varsity football and competed at the state championships in wrestling after winning the district title. He loved music and was a self-taught guitarist. Michael enjoyed the outdoors and was especially passionate about fishing and hiking.

A memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Ted Hott at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the home of his parents at any time. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Divine Love Fellowship Church, 505 North Willow Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.

Although it has been ages since we last saw Michael, we will always remember the Halloween he came to Faith Alive dressed as a woman. It was very convincing!
