Gregory Sherwin Baker Sr., 53, of Harrisonburg, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Rockingham Me

morial Hospital. He was born Dec. 8, 1954, in Salem, N.J., and was a son of Hallie Waggy Baker and the late Randguem "Tink" Baker.
Mr. Baker was a United States Army Veteran and was employed for 32 years with Riddleberger Brothers. He was a passionate Dallas Cowboy's fan and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. He loved spending time with his family and was a loving father.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lois Ann Baker, whom he married on July 2, 1977; a son, Gregory S. Baker Jr. and Brandy of Broadway; a daughter, Tonya N. Keller and Noah of Broadway; three brothers, Randy Baker Jr. of Harrisonburg, David Baker of Timberville and Oliver "Buddy" Baker of Harrisonburg; three sisters, Joyce Stroop of Keezletown, Sandra Cave and Cindy Wilson, both of Broadway, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg with Pastor Larry Rising and the Rev. William Staton officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 at the funeral home.
