Frances and I were so sorry to read of Bob's passing. Our
prayers are with you in this your time of great loss.
I first met you and Bob
(and your then little boys) when you lived in Front Royal in the late 1960's
when he worked in Va Tel & Tel's "Commercial" department, I believe.
During the seventies, I worked alongside him in the Outside Plant
Planning/Fore-casting group in Charlottesville. I remember we enjoyed swapping
stories and experiences during our coffee breaks and browsing at the Woolco
store with Ed Hildebrand and others during many lunch hours.

Dear Janet,

I feel that I know you. Glenn, Nancy, and sons are very special
to me.

I know how distressing sudden death can be and my heart goes out to
your family. It is not easy to absorb the shock. It takes time for the reality
of the absence of someone loved to become tolerated with comfort. There is never
closure.

Comfort is surely that the person who died has the easiest part in
the scenario. Comfort comes in knowing that. Coming to appreciate that fact can
bring comfort and contentment to all survivors.

Such comfort is surely
preferable to endurance by all concerned during short or long term destructive
illnesses and suffering.

Please know that I am thinking of you and your
family. I wish all of you comfort during this time of acceptance for the loss of
a cherished presence.

Warm Regard,

Dear Janet,

Gloria and I offer you our deepest condolences on the death of
your husband, Robert. I don't think either of us ever called him Robert, he was
always Bobby or later Bob to us when we first became acquainted with Grandfather
Bob and Annie Estes in 1946. Gloria was one of the first girls to stay at the
homeplace on Jordan Street and our friendship resumed and strengthened when we
returned to Lexington in 1956.

Know that our thoughts and prayers are with
you and your family in your great loss.

With much sympathy to all,

John
& Gloria
