My Mom, Helen Simmons, is a resident at White Birch, and that is where I met
John. He was a friendly and fun resident, and was liked by everyone. My
thoughts and prayers are with all of you. You have truly lost a special Dad.

My Father was Edward Wetzel, the brother of Dorothy. I heard many stories of
John and Dorothy's adventures while growing up from my Grandma. They always
sounded like such a wonderful couple. John had a life well lived and it gives
me much pride to know that we had such an accomplished pilot and patriot in our
family. My sincerest sympathy to all of his family. My thoughts are with you
and may your wonderful memories of him bring you comfort.

It was our pleasure to know John and Dottie through playing golf together at
Pine Valley in Wilmington,NC. We are so sorry for your loss and send our
sympathy to all of the family. They were a fine couple and it was always a joy
to be in their presence.

Sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with your Mom at Arkel Bag Company in NN
VA. Knew both of them well. Came upon some old photos a while back. Nice to
remember those days.

I am a very lucky person to have had the pleasure of knowing both Mr. & Mrs.
Stoecker and want the family to know that my thoughts and prayers are with them
in this time of sorrow. I had the chance to be with your parents quite as few
times and they were always so fun and loving to be with. You all take care of
one another now, you hear?
Love,
Christel

I want to let the family know what a privelege it was to know John, and that he
is sorely missed at White Birch
