Dear Lowell:

My sincerest sympathies to you, your family and your brother in
the passing of your mother.

It is such a long time ago, about 55 years or
so, since we were in school and lived on Hoke Street together, but I still
remember the Herr family in the \"big\" house across the
street.

God\'s comfort to you and yours as you grief your
loss.

Sincerely,

Joyce Hancock Murphy

To Kenneth and Lowell, especially, and all the rest of the family:
Recently I
read that, "...when you love someone, words are not enough." That is so
true about Aunt Sara. I think of her constantly. I know you feel her death
even more. Her passage from time to eternity does not erase fond memories of
her grace, dignity, beauty, faith, compassion, talent, and bravery--for all who
loved her. Now she belongs to the ages, and I will miss her very much. It was
my great privilege to become close to her these last years.

Dear Lowell
I would like to extend my condolences to you and your family on the
recent loss of your Mother. I once read that the true measure of someone was
seen in the hearts of the ones left behind. She must have been a truely
wonderful person.
