Sherry Lynn Reedy Grandle, 54, of Mount Crawford, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.Active Image

Mrs. Grandle was born on Jan. 19, 1954, in Rockingham County, and was the daughter of the late Norman and surviving Helen Simmons Reedy of North Carolina.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by a daughter, Tiffany and husband, Addison Bowman of Dayton; two sisters, Carolyn Benner of Harrisonburg, and Linda Shifflett of North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2008 at Kyger Funeral Home with Rev. J.D. Glick officiating.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Joshua Wilton House from noon until 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the RMH Regional Cancer Center, 100 E. Grace St., Harrisonburg, VA 22801, the American Cancer Society, 1920-H Medical Ave., Harrisonburg, VA 22801, or to St. Jude

Ted, I am so sorry about your loss. I remember doing things together back in
the late 60's and early 70's in Bridgewater. I saw you at the cancer center
when I was taking chemo. My prognosis is not good either, but I keep living
everyday I can.
Grace and Peace to you. Janey

Dearest Ted and Tiffany, I just found out today April 26 of your unimaginable
loss and the pain you must be suffering. We are so very sorry. I will always
remember Sherry as a working partner at RMH back in the early 70\'s. We
worked 2nd surgical together and shared many many laughs together. I remember
the great picnic we had at Rawley Springs. Hang on to those wonderful memories
that will always be close to your heart and remember her memory will live on
forever. With love Helen and Rick Bruce
