On Feb. 25, 1967, she married Loice Gatewood Leap, who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1974. She is survived by two sons, Arthur “Dickie” R. Leap and wife, Terry, of McGaheysville and Lance C. Leap and wife, Virginia, of Harrisonburg; and one grandson, Philip Lantz of Pittsville, Va.

Pastor Ray Berry will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home or anytime at the home of her son, Dickie, 10355 Whispering Pines Road in McGaheysville.

I am very sorry for your loss. I never got to meet her, but heard a lot of good things about her and she was always tickled when my husband would talk to her on the phone.
