Coleman “Toby” Wayne Taylor, 46, of Shenandoah, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at his home.
Mr. Taylor was born Feb. 2, 1962, in Houston, Texas, and was the son of Hank James Taylor of Texas and Sally Ann Coutee of Texas.
He was a pipe fitter and welder for various companies including E.A. Breeden, Inc., Greenwood Construction, both in Elkton, and Valley Industrial Piping, Inc., in Waynesboro.
On April 9, 2005, he married Virginia Faye Grimsley, who survives.
Surviving besides his wife and parents and two brothers, Terry Taylor and Russell Taylor, both of Texas; a sister, Tammy Mossett of Texas; a son, Eugene Shifflett of Elkton; three daughters, Angela Faye Painter and Sherry Lynn Owens, both of Stanley, and Crystal Gail Shifflett of Shenandoah; seven grandchildren, two nephews and one niece.
Pastor Jim Noakes will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Sunday at the Upper Room Church in Elkton. Burial will be in the McAlister Cemetery in the Comertown area of Shenandoah.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Friends may also call at the Taylor home anytime.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kyger Funeral Home, 115 Nicholson Road, Elkton, VA 22827 to help the family with expenses.
